Englishman Richard Burgess went native in Norway 30 years
ago, and his fine voice has featured in many folk bands
over the years (e.g. Rauset & Burgess, mobiLuren, Foghorn).
He plays English concertina and guitar.
Anders Ådin is one of Scandinavia’s foremost hurdy-gurdy
players and a fine guitarist too. Among his other groups
are Hemållt, Faust and Stimenn.
Multiinstrumentalist Patrik Wingård has made his mark in a
wide range of musical settings, including most recently the
band Zenit. In the trio he plays clarinet and flutes.
Doggerland is the debut CD of a unique trio. Traditional
and original music and songs from England, Scotland, Norway,
Sweden and France, performed with an instrumentation you
don’t hear every day: English concertina, hurdy-gurdy,
clarinet, guitar and voice. The songs are in four languages,
and yet they don’t seem out of place together. After all,
this is North Sea music – and you can taste the salt!
