Blackthorn is a Swedish group who play Irish music in their own
arrangements. Blackthorn have played concerts and festials around Sweden,
and also in Norway, Finland and Italy.
Blackthorn are:
Anders Clarhäll: fiddle, durspel
Fredrik Jakobsson: bouzouki, piano
Karin Johansson: song, bodhrán
Henrik Norbeck: trätvärflöjt, tin whistle, song
Jörgen Sälde: guitar, mandolin, banjo
The group has existed since 1993. This is their second CD "Swift and Sloe",
released in December 2002. The recording contains a mixture of sad and
happy songs and swinging dance tunes.
