Born and raised in Havdhem, Gotland. Played the fiddle for Patrik Nilsson and Olof Boberg. Janne was her teacher in Hemse. Playd irish folk music in Bakom Höstacken. Attended the royal college of music in Stockholm. Jazz and blues. Gunnel also performs in Gunnel Mauritzson Band and Nåra.
